Lady Gaga tattoos pictures and their meaningLady Gaga tattoos pictures have long been seen on the internet for quite some while but what do they really symbolize?

She proudly wears her tattoos on her wrist, her shoulder, inner arm and on her back, where she has a simply amazing tattoo that can be seen in one of her later videos. When Lady Gaga was asked how many tattoos she has, she had trouble remembering the exact number, maybe because not all of them are for everyone to see.

One of the latest Lady Gaga Tattoos is on her upper left arm pays tribute to all of her fans which she refers to as little monsters. The tattoo is situated next to an existing one which is a quote from the German poet and philosopher Rainer Maria Rilke. The quote translates like this: “Confess to yourself in the deepest hour of the night whether you would have to die if you were forbidden to write. Dig deep into your heart, where the answer spreads its roots in your being, and ask yourself solemnly, Must I write?”

This quote from her left arm was reportedly done in order to honor the Japanese photographer Araki. Another of her tattoos that portrays a Hawaiian daisy on her left shoulder with the words Tokyo Love was also inked in honor of the Japanese photographer Araki.

Perhaps the best known tattoo that she has is the peace sign on the inside of her wrist. People have told her in the past that the sign is actually upside down but she replied that the sign is the right way up when she looks at it and that is the way she wanted it. There are some people such as Lady Gaga that do not just tattoo themselves to be cool and noticed and who believe that tattoos are a form of artistic expression.Lady Gaga tattoos pictures and their meaning

PEACE SYMBOL or a BROKEN UPSIDE-DOWN CROSS: Like many simple symbols, it meant different things at different times. Some call it Nero’s cross, linking it to the notorious Roman emperor who persecuted Christians. Centuries later, it was recognized as an old Norse Rune. Vikings called it “Toten Rune (Death Rune),” while some Germanic people labeled it Todesrune (Rune of Death). After WW2 (1939-1945), it was found on the tombstones of certain Hitler’s SS troops and labeled ‘The Dead Man Rune.’
Revived in the sixties by hippies and others who protested nuclear weapons, Western culture, and Christian values, it became a worldwide symbol of a new age of global peace and earth-centered unity. But many heavy metal rock fans would agree with Nero and have used it to mock Christ and His followers.
